More From Day Three

Wyoming was really green with a bright blue sky.

My city kids excited about being so close to cows.

There it is! We passed it on our way to our hotel.

The town is really cute. We found a cool little shop where they make their own candy and serve ice cream. This was the quietest the boys had been all day!

Day Three

We were in three states today! We started out in Colorado, went through Wyoming, and ended up in South Dakota. I'm so glad we are staying here two nights and I don't have to get up really early in the morning, load the car, and drive all day! The kids have been really great. They have occasional grumpy moments, but they don't last long. Tomorrow we'll go see Mt. Rushmore up close and explore around town.

We have to include the picture of the sign crossing into Wyoming. We missed the picture of the South Dakota sign, but there were "technical difficulties".

We stopped at a rest stop that had a play area. It was just what the boys needed!

More From Day Two

These were taken last night after I had already posted.

By the time we get to our hotel, the kids are so amped up from sitting in the car all day. To release some of that energy, we've been taking them swimming. Here is Noah and his famous cannonball. It's a great action shot taken by Darian.

Even though the pool is indoors, it's pretty cold. The kids love the jacuzzi!

We have been talking to Erin on the computer through Skype every night. Luke kept trying to touch his Daddy. The kids miss Erin so much already and can't wait until he joins us next week!

Day Two!

Another travel day and nothing too exciting. Colorado is beautiful though.
Katie wanted a picture with the kids in front of the snow-topped mountains. We were sailing along smoothly and ran into this. Almost at a standstill for over 30 minutes!
We have seen so many trains! Luke loves them!
Our little sleepy boy at our hotel in Castle Rock.

Still Day One

Getting all tucked in after a LONG day!
Luke was getting settled in.

Day One!

And we're off!
Noah and Caleb lasted only about an hour into the drive.
Darian fell asleep around Flagstaff.
And finally Luke!
We made it to our first stop!

Play-By-Play of Noah's Last Baseball Game

At bat and very focused.

He got to first!

Waiting patiently on second.

Antsy at third. He loves to cross home plate!

I was so excited yelling for Noah to run to home that I forgot I was supposed to be taking his picture! Oh well, it's a cute picture of him walking triumphantly back to the dugout.

8th Grade Promotion Dance

Our little girl is growing up right before our eyes! Can you believe she's getting ready to start high school?

I know I'm horribly biased, but isn't she gorgeous?!

Darian with some of her best friends. Apparently blue is the hot color this season!

Sleepy Little Sick Boy

Luke came down with a bad case of croup Wednesday night. Which of course means he and his loving and extremely patient parents did not get much sleep that night! I took him to the doctor on Thursday and she prescribed him some steroids. After taking them and some ibuprofen to help with his fever, Luke and Daddy went to watch tv in bed. Apparently it was the perfect combination to finally make him comfortable because this is what I found when I came in to check on them.

Mother's Day

Erin and the kids made me breakfast in bed and gave me a beautiful jewelry box. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and these beautiful babies!

Daddy's Little Girl

A cute picture after D's award ceremony. Darian got a few awards, but I think Erin was most proud of the "Excellence in Science". I was proud of the "President's Education" award for having a 4.0 GPA the entire school year.

Uncle Heath

Erin's brother was here for a visit and the kids absolutely adore him. He made it to Darian's awards ceremony the night before he left and we had to get some pictures of him with the kids. Luke wasn't in the mood to have his picture taken after sitting through the 2 1/2 hour ceremony!

Buddies

It took a little while for Caleb to accept Luke after he was born, but they are now the best of friends.
