Storytime

We've started going to storytime on Friday nights with some of my great friends. It's been some fabulous visiting time for the Mommies and the kids have a lot of fun playing together. As a bonus, I think we have two of our boys married off! :)

Won't they make the most beautiful blond hair, blue-eyed babies?

Luke likes his ladies a little bit older than him. ;)

Disneyland

We decided to go light on the Christmas presents this year and instead take a family trip to Disneyland. We loaded up and took off on the 26th and had a great 6 days in California. It was Caleb and Luke's first time and they loved it. We all had a blast!

I thought this picture was apropos since these 3 together can certainly be explosive!

Hamming it up as usual.

I don't think I've ever seen a child enjoy cotton candy as much as Caleb.

Christmas 2009

Better late than never! The past month flew by! Luke spending that week in the hospital really threw me off my game. So much was planned for that time, that got moved to the next week or cancelled altogether. The family Christmas photo shoot never happened so we ended up using the pic from our Colorado vacation that I at the time jokingly called our Christmas card shot. Oh well, at least I got something out. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Darian had some fun taking some shots of the tree after the boys went to bed. I like this one.

All dressed and ready to head to Grandma and Grandpa's house after a relaxing Christmas morning.

My Sick Little Man

I'm so behind. I have so many posts in my head that just haven't come to fruition. Darian's pics from State, her birthday, Thanksgiving, and on and on. All of that is on the back-burner while I'm taking care of Luke. For those of you who don't know, Luke has been one sick little boy. He came down with a fever last Friday and by Saturday wasn't able to move his neck. Off to the ER we went. He spent the night, had tons of tests and a bunch of IV antibiotics. We went home Sunday and he just wasn't getting better. Early Monday morning, the hospital called and said we needed to get back right away, his blood test came back positive for infection. He was admitted and after many more tests, we found out that the lymph nodes in his neck and head were severly infected and the infection had spread to his blood. As if that wasn't enough, he is developing an abcess in one of his lymph nodes. Right now we are in a holding pattern while they are trying to get rid of the abcess with meds rather than surgery. So, we are in here until at least Friday. I will say this new Children's Center is amazing. The doctors and nurses are top notch and they are doing everything they can to make Luke comfortable and happy.

On Monday when we first got admitted and not doing so hot.

Pain meds on board and Matt Leinart from the Arizona Cardinals visiting him with toys and we get a little smile!

He really liked the clown visiting him too. Four players from the Phoenix Coyotes came by the same day, but he was really in no mood for them. No pics from that visit.

Halloween

Halloween this year was pretty mellow. We spent the day carving pumpkins, roasting the seeds, making apple crisp, and just hanging out. The boys did a few streets, but seemed happier being home handing out candy. Even Darian went to a party, but ended up calling us to come and get her so she could come home and hang out with her friend.

Caleb's not-so-favorite part.

Lukey got right in there!

Luke's "Falloween" Party

Luke is enjoying preschool so much. He loved his first ever class party celebrating "Falloween". All the kids wore their costumes and did a parade through the school, did crafts, played games, and had some yummy treats.

Science Day

Caleb's class had a special day where we got to go and see all the science experiments they had been working on. Then we got to hang out for awhile and just have a little of the kindergarten experience. It was fun and Caleb was very happy to have us there.
Caleb's "rainbow fish". It's his favorite book.

Luke was not so happy to be there!

So cute!

Luke was happy when he could finally be included in the activities.
