State Pictures

Day 2 of State was even more fun than the first day. Darian started out a bundle of nerves because she was playing with some big time players from Xavier, Hamilton, and Corona del Sol. She was the only one in her group that wasn't a senior! After a bit, she finally relaxed and enjoyed herself. She improved her score by 5 strokes, shooting an 81. She's used to scoring in the 70's so she was a little disappointed in her play, but I think she did awesome for being a freshman out there. It was really a lot of fun to watch her. I can't tell you how proud I was and had more than a couple of tearful moments thinking of my Dad, just missing him and being sad that he isn't able to see her playing on this level. He would be over the moon! Mountain Pointe ended up in 5th place, missing 4th by 3 strokes. Darian was in 22nd place (out of 90 golfers) after the first day and we know she moved up the second but aren't sure of the exact place. I can't wait to see her play again next year!

I love this shot Erin took.

The team.
